Jian Shui Teapots

Traditional purple pottery ceramics from Jian Shui County, Yunnan Province. It is made by hand on a potter's wheel from a mixture of Yunnan clays, decorated with engraving, carving and inlay with clay of other colours. Special attention is paid to the careful polishing of the finished product. This is where the famous glossy shine and pleasant tactility of the objects come from.
